Dr. Stephen Butler
Dr. Butler received his B.A. in biology and chemistry from San Jose State University in California. He completed his medical degree in Maine at the University Of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained at the Hunterdon Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program in Flemington, NJ where he served one year as chief resident before becoming board certified in family practice. Dr. Butler has been the Medical Director of Dartmouth Medical Center since 2000. His interests are in sports medicine, developing patient education strategies, and health care maintenance. He is co-founder of three health related websites; MyPhotoDiet.com, FraternityMed.com and SororityMed.com.

Dr. Butler was raised in Vermont and spent his early adult life traveling and living in Europe and North Africa with a home base in Sun Valley, Idaho. He spent two years as a kibbutz volunteer in northern Israel in the early 1980s. Dr. Butler has raced several marathons, participated in multiday cycling events, has made a dozen sport parachute jumps, and in 2003 completed the Ironman® triathlon in Lake Placid, New York. He still races occasionally but prefers to spend all of his free time with his wife and twin daughters. Dr. Butler is married to Debra Curtis, Ph.D., a professor of cultural anthropology at Salve Regina University.

Cheryl Pimentel-Carreiro, MSN, ANP
Cheryl is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who joined the Dartmouth Medical Staff in August 2011. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 2000, and went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing in May 2011. Cheryl is board certified from the American Nursing Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to joining our medical team, Cheryl practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at St. Anne's Hospital for over 10 years. She specialized in the areas of cardiovascular and trauma emergencies. Her expertise in the area of urgent care and primary injury care enable her to deliver quality and skillful care to our Walk-In patients. Her interests include nutrition and fitness, focusing on paleo/primal nutrition and a CrossFit training philosophy, cardiovascular health, lifestyle modification and women's health.
Constance T. Chang, MSN, FNP
Constance is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the Dartmouth Medical Staff in May 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at Reed College, Portland, Oregon in May 2001. She earned her Nursing degree from Yale School of Nursing, New Haven, CT in 2009, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Yale University in 2010. Constance is board certified from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining our medical office, Constance practiced as a Registered Nurse at the Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, New Haven, CT.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she practiced in Queens, New York, caring for patients as primary care provider for an inpatient drug treatment center. She then went on to deliver patient care at the Miriam Hospital working in the Department of Cardiology, and then in the Emergency Department Triage Unit of Woman and Infants Hospital.
In addition to her position at Dartmouth Medical Center, Constance currently works at the Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Providence, RI providing full-service gynecologic and primary care to patients. Enjoying all aspects of women's healthcare, Constance is dedicated to promoting health for women of all ages.
