Our office is located at 39 Faunce Corner Road, Dartmouth MA
in the Best Buy Plaza. With easy access from I195, we proudly serve patients in Westport, Fall River, Raynham, Wareham, Fairhaven, New Bedford and the surrounding Dartmouth area.
Due to high patient call volume, we have opted for an automated telephone attendant. Please listen to the menu and follow the prompts available. If asked to leave a message, please speak clearly, leaving your name and telephone number, and message. We regularly retrieve our messages throughout the day and return calls promptly. Some calls and messages left with the nurse are forwarded to Dr. Butler for review. Please be aware that Dr. Butler is not able to return calls until well after office hours each day. If you are concerned about a medical issue or problem, you are advised to come in to the office to be seen in the Walk-In area. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
After hours calls are intended for emergencies for established patients only, and are routed through the hospital operator. Weekend calls are referred to one of the family physicians in Dr. Butler's call group.
Dartmouth Medical Center accepts most major health insurances including Medicare, BCBS and Tufts Health Plans.
We accept MassHealth for existing established patients only. Please Take Note: We do not accept any of the Massachusetts state sponsored health programs at this time. Patients should know that they cannot be seen by any doctor except their own primary physician if they are on these plans. Also, a patient is not allowed to self-pay for the visit instead of using the insurance. It is against the law for our office to accept cash payment for office visits if the patient is on a state-sponsored insurance plan.
As the subscriber to any health insurance, you are responsible for knowing all of the rules of your health plan. If there are problems with your insurance coverage or eligibility and you cannot be checked in through our insurance eligibility software program, you will be asked to sign a payment waiver or directed to another clinic for treatment.
Remember that Dartmouth Medical Center is not an Emergent Care Clinic or an Emergency Department, and is not a state subsidized facility. We are a family practice office that offers walk-in visits and appointments to our patients in an open access format.
